Becky & Nick’s Vintage Ainsworth House Wedding | Oregon City Wedding Photography

I was super excited when Becky and Nick asked me to be their wedding photographer. Not just because I knew their wedding was going to be incredible, but also because Dr. [Becky] Jester just so happens to be my dog Porter’s acupuncture veterinarian and I happen know she’s a super awesome person to be around! A few years ago Porter had back surgery and sees Becky every other month
for mobility and pain management. Anyways, enough about Porter!

Becky and Nick planned the most amazing victorian wedding at the Ainsworth House in Oregon City. The Ainsworth House, which was built in 1851, could not have been more perfect for their wedding with Nick in tails and Becky in a gorgeous vintage dress.
Spring sun was out in force and the gardens were coming alive with blossoms. Because we
lucked out with glorious weather, we were able to gather everyone in attendance outside after the ceremony for one big group photo!

Becky’s daughter Austynn and their dog Onyx both got to be involved in the wedding day.
Austynn had the entire reception rolling with laughter during her toast (roast?)!

Fair warning; there’s a ridiculous amount of photos below. I just couldn’t choose!

Venue: Ainsworth House
Caterer: Art De Cuisine
DJ/Piano: Dancing Penguin
Officiant: Mia Lawson (Groom’s sister)

Danielle, Rob & Blake’s Family/Engagement Session | Mount Hood Adventure Photos

This winter session was so fun, and I’m super excited to share this set of photos with you!

We had been planning this session for a few months, trying to find the right balance of adventure, weather and location all the while making it easy and fun for a toddler. I think we nailed it with this Mount Hood mini-hike.

Danielle & Rob are getting married this summer and since their son Blake is such a huge part of their lives they wanted to include him in their engagement photos. Blake just turned 3 and was an absolute trooper! He hiked on his own all the way to the waterfall, stopping frequently to taste test snow and belly slide down the path 😉 My lifestyle-photo-loving heart was exploding with joy and I maaaay have taken a ton of photos of the cuteness.

Once back at the parking lot we snuggled Blake up warm in the car and finished up with just Danielle & Rob. By the end of their session it was snowing so hard it was almost impossible to even see them through the flakes, let alone focus! Which just added to the pure awesome-ness. Snow sessions just might be the best because I’m pretty sure it’s impossible not to giggle with joy while fluffy snowflakes are tickling your face.

Thanks for adventuring with me you three – can’t wait for your Yellow Gold Farm wedding this summer!

I still have time this winter for some more snow adventure sessions on the mountain. Let’s plan yours!

Heldebrant Family’s Mini Adventure Session | PNW Adventure Photography

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family multiple places over the years; Oregon,
Washington, Beach, Backyards – we even did a waste water treatment plant park once! 😉
They generally give me a general idea of what they want and then let me choose the location for their photos. This time I loaded them up in my car and off we drove off in search of a little
adventure and nature for their photos.
We ended up at one of my new favorite places that works well as an adventure session location with kids or anyone that wants some epic scenery with out the miles of hiking.
I mean, you totally can’t go wrong at a location that has a rainforest, river, swinging bridge,
swimming holes and some great hiking. Plus, in the winter there’s sometimes snow there for some extra awesome-sauce.

Thanks for trusting me with your family photos and your locations Heldebrant family – We’ll have to climb a mountain or something this year!

I’d love to do an adventure session – of any scale with your family! Shoot me a message and we can make plans for an epic session that will fit your style!
