The Mahr Family | Corvallis Oregon Family Photography

I loved this session with the Mahr family – I feel that these photos do a great job of showing my approach to sessions with kids. I love to capture the kids in their element, doing activities that they like to do. Sometimes that means playing little games with them or giving them fun things to do. Sometimes that means hiding behind a tree with a long lens and letting them do their thing while forgetting that I’m even there. Often times it takes the kids a little bit to warm up to the idea of getting their photos taken but by the end we’re always friends =) The Mahr family met me on a cold, foggy fall day. The kids were troopers despite the temperature and I felt like we got some great shots of them interacting with each other and having fun. Plus, does the fog look awesome?

If you’re putting off family photos because you don’t want the stress of getting everyone to smile and look at the camera, give me a call. I promise we can make it stress free and even FUN for everyone. Set up your family photos for the new year today! danae@danaejonesphotography.com | 541-908-1064

The Millers | Family Photos at Hawk Creek Cellars

I’m so excited to share The Miller’s family photos from last week. Their family hasn’t had family photos done in about 26 years (their daughter wasn’t even born yet!) So I’m thrilled they decided to make time to update their family portrait while on a family vacation to visit their son in Portland. The Miller’s love wine tasting as a family and fell in love with gorgeous Hawks View Cellars on their last trip to Oregon so it was a very fitting place for their session. They wanted their family photos to reflect their love for wine, be relaxed and ‘non pose-y’ which fits well with my style. I’m sure you’ll be able to tell from the photos below, but the four of them interact so well together and you can truly see the family love!

Millers- thank you so much for spending part of your vacation hanging out with me, and for overlooking the fact that I’m more of a micro brew girl than a wine lover! =) I really enjoyed meeting you all.
