I met with Sam a few months ago over coffee to chat about what she was looking for in family photos. I left that meeting so excited to work with her family- Seriously, not only was she a sweet lady who had some great ideas for what she wanted, bu she was also talking about the kid sized Harley they have for their son Will, and the photos she was wanting to get will her husband and son and their bikes. From that moment on I couldn’t wait for the shoot! We got some super fun photos in Downtown Albany with the Harley’s and then we headed out to the acreage surrounding their church for some family shots that included their parents. The weather was gorgeous, even thought there may have been a little more sun than I would have liked for the shoot, I try not to complain about the sun being out this time of year! Thank you Sam, Bill and Will for spending your Saturday afternoon with me, oh and for the Harley ride! 😉

Matt and Sarah | Portland Engagement Photography
Matt and Sarah were trying to squeeze in an engagement session before he leaves the country for ROTC training for a few months, so we only had two dates that would work to do a Photoshoot before he left. We opted to try for the first date just in case we got rained out and had to use the second date as ‘plan b.’ We totally got lucky however, and were blessed by beautiful weather this past Monday. We started out at Cathedral Park in Portland and then headed to Forest Park where Matt and Sarah love to hike and run for gorgeous ‘woodsy’ photos. As of a few weeks ago I had never been to Cathedral Park and now I’ve shot engagement sessions there twice in less than a month! Matt and Sarah were so much fun to work with, the two of them are perfect together and they radiate joy! Congratulations on your engagement you two!
Head on over to Facebook to check out a more photos from their session!
P.S. – Matt and Sarah are going to surprise their moms with prints for Mother’s Day so if you know the two of them will you help them keep this under wraps for the next month? =)
Jessica and Mark | Portland Engagement Photography
It’s been a long time since I’ve written a blog post that didn’t start with “…and we had to brave wind, rain and snow….” So I’m happy to report that we were pleasantly surprised by the sun shining on us Sunday. We started Jessica and Mark’s engagement session at Cathedral Park under the St. Johns bridge in Portland. Mark is an engineer so they wanted their engagement photos to reflect his love for architecture. I’d never shot at Cathedral Park before so I really enjoyed getting to shoot at a new location. Afterwards we headed over to Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. We were hoping the cherry trees would be in bloom – unfortunately they were not quite blossomed but the trees where a brilliant red color and made for a great backdrop!
Mark and Jessica- I had a great time with you, you guys make an adorable couple and I can’t wait to celebrate with you in August!
Check out the Facebook page for more photos of Mark and Jessica’s session.
