Zara, Clint and I spent some time at in Salem doing their engagement photos. I really enjoy getting to do engagement photos with couples. It gives us time to get to know each other before the wedding day. For me to see how they interact with each other and how they interact with the camera. Aside from getting awesome photos out of the deal, I also think it’s beneficial for the couple too. They spend a lot of time with me on their wedding day and it is a good chance for them to get comfortable with me and how I work. Zara and Clint had an amazing wedding at Yellow Gold Farm in Albany. Carol and I met working at a summer camp about 13 years ago and reconnected last year when she moved back home from Costa Rica and joined my soccer indoor soccer team*. Just before Christmas Denia and Carol had an intimate ceremony at Weddings On Church Street – an adorable wedding chapel in Salem. It’s not often that I get to act as both a witness and a photographer (It’s only happened one other time!) but my partner And and I were incredibly honored to get to witness Carol and Denia’s marriage. Afterwards we went out to a lovely dinner at Bentley’s Grill to celebrate. Congratulations Carol & Denia!





* We’ve since roped Denia into the soccer team too! =)

One of my favorite things about Oregon is the amazing variety of locations I can find just a short distance from my home. Shelly and Cory wanted to do their engagement photos in nature and were up for a bit of hiking so off we went. Of course their adorable puppy Samson tagged along!
