I had been wanting to photograph a wedding at Lakeside Gardens in Portland so I was thrilled when Kari and John contacted me to photograph their wedding there.
Then I got to know Kari & John and got excited about their wedding because they’re all around awesome people. Also, they have a dachshund, which always makes people winners in my book!
Kari and John got mostly ready and home and then drove to Lakeside Gardens for final prep and putting the wedding dress on. They had an outdoor ceremony under the gazebo and then an indoor reception and dance party!

Winter weddings – I know, I know, they can be a bit “scary” – It narrows down your venue choices, you don’t know if the weather is going to cooperate for outdoor photos and it gets dark early. I get it! But…Winter weddings can also be warm and cozy and fun and different! Katie and Levi had a January wedding at the Albany Golf and Event Center We got lucky on the weather, the rain held off while we went outside for some photos of the two of them. It was a tad freezing,
but they were good sports and we were able to get some fun shots on the golf course.

Elizabeth & Robert’s Wedding at Star Attractions

If you’ve never been to Star Attractions in Sweethome you need to check it out – SUCH a fun venue with a lot to offer. It’s neat to have a venue where you can have one feel/style for your ceremony and then a different location and feel for the reception. For Elizabeth and Robert’s wedding they had the ceremony in a little grove of trees with an in incredible homemade arbor. Then the guests moved across the yard and into Star Attractions beautiful wooden barn. The property even has a babbling little creek running through it and hundreds of beautiful spots for photos. Robert and Elizabeth both looked radiant on their big day and their guests had a blast.
